Pantothenic acid is a water-soluble vitamin and an essential nutrient that is naturally present in some foods, added to other foods and also available as a supplement.

Pantothenic acid is one of the most important vitamins in human life. It is necessary for making blood cells and aids the conversion of food into energy. Vitamin B5 also helps maintain healthy hair, skin and nails, and assists in the proper functioning of the nervous system and the liver.
