About me

My name is Kate and I am a Registered Dietitian who specialises in managing chronic metabolic conditions (such as diabetes, obesity, high cholesterol and high blood pressure) alongside managing gut-related conditions (including IBS, diverticular disease, IBD, coeliac disease, reflux, and general gut health management).

I became a Dietitian in 2020 after 4 years of intensive schooling at one of the best Dietetic Universities in the world, the University of Surrey, graduating with 1st Class Honours in Nutrition and Dietetics.
Although I began my career in the NHS, I realised I wanted to do more in helping my patients, and I knew that the impact of my work would be greater if I could spend more time with people and really get to the root of their issues through psychological support and work around food behaviours, and not just looking to add or take things away from peoples diets.
Since setting up my Freelance career, I have helped my clients lose a collective 500kg, helped over 20 people get their HbA1c down into the non-diabetic ranges, helped 50 clients improve their gut symptoms and therefore improve their quality of life, and overall improved the lives of hundreds of people, through my unique approach of combining dietary and lifestyle changes with behaviour change techniques.

I have worked on Harley Street, and I run a successful social media account on TikTok, @dietsdebunked, which aims to debunk dieting myths and inform the general population about how to improve their nutrition. I have also featured in a variety of publications including Cosmopolitan, the Independent, Men's Health and i News, providing expert health advice on various topics, and regularly host webinars to teach other healthcare professionals about my areas of expertise.
